LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — A girl died over per week after a crash within the east Las Vegas valley.

On Dec. 3 round 11:40 a.m., police responded to a report of a crash within the space of Lake Mead Boulevard Mt. Hood Road close to Hollywood Boulevard.

Proof on the scene and witness statements confirmed {that a} Dodge Grand Caravan was driving westbound on Lake Mead Boulevard, approaching the intersection, on the identical time a Chevrolet Cruz was driving southbound on Mt. Hood Road, additionally approaching the intersection.

Police stated the collision occurred when the Chevrolet ran a purple mild and entered the intersection, crashing into the Dodge.

On December 12, Metro police had been notified by the Clark County Coroner’s Workplace that the 81-year-old passenger of the Chevrolet succumbed to her accidents and was pronounced useless at a neighborhood hospital.

Her demise marks the 154th traffic-related fatality in LVMPD’s jurisdiction in 2024.
