Free summer time program to launch for Las Vegas valley teenagers at Clark Excessive College

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — Clark County officers are teaming up with Las Vegas organizations to deliver a free summer time program to one of many valley’s underserved areas.

Commissioners Justin Jones and Tick Segerblom, in partnership with the Vegas Pressure Basis and different neighborhood teams, are launching the C.O.O.L. Summer season Program—an initiative aimed toward college students ages 12 to 18. C.O.O.L. stands for neighborhood, outreach, alternative, and management

This system will run weekdays from June 23 by July 18, at Clark Excessive College.

“In apartment-dense areas like the neighborhoods surrounding Clark High School, families often face limited access to safe, enriching summer programs,” Commissioner Jones said. “That’s why we launched the C.O.O.L. Summer Program—to fill that gap and provide students with wraparound services that support not only education and recreation, but their overall well-being. This is about creating opportunity and stability where it’s needed most.”

Every day will characteristic actions like sports activities, team-building challenges, management video games, and inventive arts courses. Further companies embody youth programming for youthful siblings ages 6 to 11, after-care offered on the Lied Memorial Boys & Ladies Membership with transportation included, and a weekly neighborhood useful resource honest each Friday providing entry to native companies, assist, and giveaways.
