Ex-CCSD assistant principal arrested, faces prices associated to sexual misconduct with pupil

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) – A former assistant principal at a Clark County College District highschool has been arrested.

Hearley Smith, 54, faces prices associated to sexual misconduct with a pupil, based on Clark County College District Police.

Smith was arrested on Friday and booked into the Clark County Detention Middle by CCSD police.

The arrest stems from an investigation initiated at Canyon Springs Excessive College Feb. 24. Smith final labored on the faculty as an assistant principal however “separated from the CCSD” and can now not be allowed on campus, CCSD police said on Friday.

Courtroom data present Smith faces the next prices:

Two counts of kidnapping within the first diploma

10 counts of lewdness by particular person older than 18 within the presence of kid or weak particular person

10 counts of faculty worker participating in a sexual act with a pupil 16 or older

Smith had been employed by CCSD since 2004.
