Epstein property turns over 'birthday e-book,' different paperwork to Home panel

The property of Jeffrey Epstein on Monday turned over a tranche of paperwork subpoenaed by the Home Oversight Committee.

“Oversight Democrats just received the Epstein birthday book and additional documents from the Epstein estate. More soon,” Rep. Robert Garcia (D-Calif.), the highest Democrat on the panel, wrote on X.

The switch has the potential to shed new gentle on the numerous elite relationships maintained by Epstein, the late youngster intercourse offender, and his longtime affiliate, Ghislaine Maxwell, who’s serving 20 years for crimes associated to intercourse trafficking.

Behind Chair James Comer (R-Ky.), the Oversight Committee had subpoenaed Epstein’s property final month searching for quite a few paperwork by Sept. 8  

The subpoena requested for Epstein’s will; any paperwork resembling a “client list” associated to Epstein’s intercourse trafficking costs; any “black books” containing Epstein’s contacts; the flight logs from Epstein’s airplane and different rented plane; and an alleged e-book of letters from Epstein’s pals commemorating his fiftieth birthday, amongst a number of different information. 

The birthday e-book, which was reportedly compiled by Epstein’s longtime affiliate and girlfriend Ghislaine Maxwell, features a letter written by President Trump when he was a personal citizen in New York, in line with The Wall Road Journal.

“It is our understanding that the Estate of Jeffrey Epstein is in custody and control of documents that may further the Committee’s investigation and legislative goals,” Comer wrote final month in a letter accompanying the subpoena. 

“Further, it is our understanding the Estate is ready and willing to provide these documents to the Committee pursuant to a subpoena.”
