LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — The Las Vegas-Clark County Library District introduced the grand opening of the brand new West Las Vegas Library, which is about to be double the scale of the present department.
On Dec. 9, the brand new “state-of-the-art” West Las Vegas Library department, situated at 1861 North Martin Luther King Boulevard close to Lake Mead Boulevard, will open to the general public with a day of meals, music, artwork, dwell performances, storytimes, and way more.
“Like the previous two Historic Westside library branches that opened before it (the original on “D” Street in 1973, and the current location on West Lake Mead Boulevard in 1989), this new building will be a place where our children, grandchildren, and generations to come can come to enjoy story times, arts and cultural events, live performances, after-school tutoring, and STEAM activities,” the Las Vegas-Clark County Library District mentioned on its web site.
