Clark County district legal professional declares he’ll run for re-election

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — Steve Wolfson, who has served because the Clark County District Lawyer since 2012, introduced Tuesday that he’ll search re-election in 2026.

“Forty-five years ago, today, I walked into the District Attorney’s office as a young law clerk, never imagining that one day I would lead this institution,” Wolfson stated. “Today, it is the honor of my life to serve as your District Attorney, and I am proud to officially announce that I am running for re-election.”

Wolfson oversees practically 800 staff, together with roughly 200 deputy district attorneys who deal with round 140,000 instances yearly.

“In these uncertain times, Las Vegas faces real challenges,” Wolfson stated. “Our community needs a District Attorney with experience, balance, and the right temperament to make the tough but fair decisions. That’s what I’ve worked to bring every day since I’ve become the District Attorney.”

Wolfson served as a deputy district legal professional, an assistant U.S. legal professional, and a non-public protection legal professional earlier than turning into the district legal professional.
