LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — The east Las Vegas valley group got here collectively Friday to have a good time Cinco De Mayo at Clark County’s ninth annual vacation celebration. 

Tons of gathered at Robert E. Worth Park close to Lake Mead Boulevard and Nellis Boulevard for meals, enjoyable, and dwell performances. The occasion, which was free and open to the general public, included piñata bashing, boxing, bounce homes, and a rock-climbing wall. 

Mariachi bands, folkloric dancers, and a DJ have been available for performances. 

Clark County Commissioner Marilyn Kirkpatrick, who has hosted the occasion for the previous 9 years, mentioned it honors Cinco De Mayo’s historic significance. 

“I think it’s very important because it does help out a lot of families,” mentioned Melissa Adame, a pageant attendee. “To get their kids out here and interact and have fun.”

Rep. Steven Horsford, D-Nev., mentioned the group celebration was culturally vital and vital.

“It’s a community event, it’s a celebration of Cinco de Mayo,” Horsford mentioned. “It’s also a celebration of culture, of history, bringing out the entire family.”
