LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — A brand new battle of the bands competitors is coming to Las Vegas, hoping to discover a native band to hitch the Neon Metropolis Competition.
The Neon Metropolis Competition is partnering up with the Fremont Road Expertise to create a brand new battle of the bands competitors known as Rock the Block, aiming to highlight the valley’s native expertise.
Submissions for Rock the Block opened on Aug. 7 and will likely be accepted till Sept. 21. Finalists will likely be introduced on Sept. 26.
As much as six bands will likely be chosen to compete reside on Oct. 3 through the closing night time of the Fremont Road Expertise’s Native Originals live performance collection.
“Las Vegas has always been a city full of fresh energy and bold talent, and Rock the Block will celebrate just that,” stated Andrew Simon, President and CEO of Fremont Road Expertise.
The successful band will win a spot on the 2025 lineup for the Neon Metropolis Competition, held from Nov. 21 by means of 23, alongside nationwide and worldwide artists.
“We’ve always believed Neon City should be a reflection of the community we’re part of,” Jeff Victor, CEO of the Neon Metropolis Competition, stated. “Rock the Block is our way of giving back and elevating the emerging talent in our own backyard. We’re proud to partner with Local Originals to create a real pathway from the streets of Vegas to the big stage.”
The Native Originals live performance collection launched in early 2025 as a platform for native musicians.
