LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — An American Airways flight made an emergency touchdown at Las Vegas’ Harry Reid Worldwide Airport Wednesday morning after smoke was seen coming from one of many aircraft’s engines.

Flight 1665 had simply taken off from the airport when the smoke was seen. The aircraft, en path to Charlotte, North Carolina, was carrying 153 passengers and 6 crewmembers.

Annette Driving captured video of the Airbus A321 aircraft from her yard. Black smoke may be seen coming from the left engine.

Luke Nimmo, a public data officer with the airport, stated the aircraft landed safely round 8:20 a.m. and taxied to the terminal below its personal energy. No accidents had been reported.

There isn’t any data on what might have prompted the smoke. This can be a growing story. Please examine again for updates.
