BLM public sale brings $16 million for 8 parcels throughout Las Vegas valley

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — An public sale of eight parcels of land totaling 41.85 acres within the Las Vegas valley generated $16.57 million, in accordance with a Wednesday announcement from the U.S. Bureau of Land Administration (BLM).

The aggressive on-line sale on Tuesday didn’t promote two different parcels — 10 acres on the southwest nook of W. La Madre Approach at N. Fort Apache Street valued at $4.25 million, and 25 acres alongside the Northern 215 Beltway valued at $13.05 million. There have been no qualifying bids for the 2 parcels.

The eight parcels that offered have been:

2.5 acres close to S. Rainbow Boulevard and N. Gomer, valued at $1.3 million (offered at $1.52 million to Haikal Exemption Belief)

2.5 acres on the northwest nook of Roban Avenue and S. Las Vegas Boulevard, valued at $1.045 million (offered at $1.715 million to Haikal Exemption Belief)

12.5 acres east of U.S. 95 alongside Solar Village Park Drive and Kyle Canyon highway, valued at $3.7 million (offered at $3.7 million to Elite Excavating)

6.85 acres alongside Blue Diamond highway between S. Grand Canyon Drive and Hualapai Approach, valued at $2.52 million (offered at $2.63 million to Hamid (Henry) Moradi)

5 acres close to S. Racetrack Street between Burkholder Boulevard and Venice Avenue, valued at $2 million (offered at $2 million to Beazer houses)

2.5 acres north of Blue Diamond Street alongside S. Buffalo Drive and W. Cougar Avenue, valued at $1 million (offered at $1.24 million to Khusrow Roohani)

2.5 acres close to the Northern 215 Beltway on the nook of W. Azure and N. Hualapai Approach, valued at $2.07 million (offered at $2.07 million to Haikal Exemption Belief)

The Southern Nevada Public Land Administration Act (SNPLMA) permits the BLM to promote public lands inside a congressionally designated boundary within the Las Vegas Valley.

Proceeds from the sale are break up 3 ways, with 85% going to initiatives all through the state akin to the event of parks, trails, pure areas, capital enhancements on federal lands, acquisition of environmentally delicate land, hazardous fuels discount, and panorama restoration initiatives. One other 5% goes to the state schooling funds and 10% goes to the Southern Nevada Water Authority.
