Mom accused of drowning son, 4, in Las Vegas homicide case

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — A Clark County grand jury indicted a mom on homicide and little one abuse expenses in reference to the loss of life of her four-year-old son, the 8 Information Now Investigators have realized.

Amari Taylor, 24, drowned Ja’Kari Davis in December, in response to a legal criticism. The criticism refers to Taylor “baptizing” and/or drowning the boy between Dec. 28 and Dec. 29.

The Clark County coroner’s workplace has not but formally decided the kid’s trigger and method of loss of life, a spokesperson mentioned.

In a separate case, Taylor is charged with battery on a protected individual, a gross misdemeanor. Taylor allegedly struck a Las Vegas Metro police officer with a automotive door by kicking it on Dec. 29, in response to a legal criticism.

Clark County District Court docket Choose Christy Craig discovered Taylor competent to face trial on Feb. 14 after an analysis. It was not instantly clear when she would seem in court docket following the indictment.
