Tropicana Mission building impacts entry to Las Vegas companies

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — If one is heading to the airport or to the south finish of the Las Vegas Strip, one will need to discover another route as building continues on the I-15 Tropicana Mission.

“It was kind of a pain in the butt to get here, to be honest with you,” vacationer Steve Koepke mentioned.

The newest closure, which is able to shut down Tropicana in each instructions till Friday, is impacting folks attending to and from companies within the space.

“It was a bit of an adventure trying to get to the In-N-Out,” customer Scott Adler mentioned. “I didn’t know if it was still open actually because it looked like everything was shut down all the way around it.”

The chain of companies close to the intersection at Tropicana and Dean Martin will stay open, though it is going to require a bit extra tenacity to get there.

“I think we had to circle around at least 3 times before we finally found the road that actually let us access the restaurant,” Koepke mentioned. “With the different roads being blocked off, it was a challenge to get here.”

The closure is important as crews work to transition the Tropicana interchange from its short-term diverging diamond configuration again to an ordinary interchange.

East and westbound Tropicana can be totally closed from New York – New York to Dean Martin Drive. The southbound I-15 off-ramp to Tropicana and the Tropicana on-ramp to northbound I-15 can even be closed.

Throughout this time, the next ramps can be closed:

Southbound I-15 off-ramp to eastbound and westbound Tropicana Avenue

Tropicana Avenue on-ramp to northbound I-15

Southbound I-15 flyover ramp to eastbound Tropicana Avenue

Tropicana Avenue on-ramp to southbound I-15

The northbound I-15 off-ramp to Tropicana Avenue

The northbound I-15 off-ramp to Frank Sinatra Drive/Enviornment Drive

Following the closures, the southbound I-15 to eastbound Tropicana flyover ramp will open to site visitors on Friday. The ramp has been closed since 2022.

The Tropicana closures can be in impact 24 hours a day till 5 a.m. on Friday. Tropicana Avenue will stay two lanes in every route as building on the median continues.
