Downtown Las Vegas energy outage brought on by balloons, affected 10,000 clients

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — An influence outage close to Downtown Las Vegas that affected over 10,000 clients on Sunday night time was brought on by balloons, officers say.

In response to a publish on NV Power’s X account, mylar balloons bought snarled with infrastructure at an NV Power substation on Sunday night time, resulting in an outage for greater than 10,000 clients within the downtown Las Vegas space.
