Las Vegas valley police departments goal dashing close to colleges

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — DUI, dashing, and expired tags are just some of the offenses police mentioned they caught from a Tuesday morning blitz round colleges and faculty zones within the valley.

In accordance with a Fb put up from the Clark County Faculty District Police Division, round 30 officers from departments across the valley participated within the blitz to assist “keep the speeds slow and the safeties high.”

“Apparently a lot of drivers left their house without a proper breakfast this morning… so we gave them a heaping scoop of traffic safety,” the division wrote.

CCSDPD mentioned a number of “highlights” from the morning element included a person in Boulder Metropolis who was closed at 52 and paced at 70 in a 35 mph zone simply down the road from the place children had been arriving at a college. When officers pulled him over, he was taken in for DUI, the put up mentioned.

One other driver was dashing by way of a college zone and instructed officers she was “on her way to the DMV” when it was revealed she was with out insurance coverage and her non permanent registration had been expired since July, along with some warrants, police mentioned.

The final driver CCSDPD described “barreled” by way of a 15 mph college zone at 46 mph.

“Naaaaa, don’t mind us… or the kids, or all the parents, or all those cars…,” police wrote.

Collaborating departments included the CCSDPD, Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Division, Boulder Metropolis Police Division, Henderson Police Division, and Nevada State Police.
