'Keffe D' invokes fast trial in Las Vegas jail battery case

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — The person accused of orchestrating the 1996 homicide of Tupac Shakur pleaded not responsible Thursday to a cost related to a jail battle, invoking his proper to a speedy trial.

Final week, a Clark County grand jury indicted Duane “Keffe D” Davis, 61, on a cost of battery by a prisoner and problem to battle for an incident in December.

Davis’ invocation and plea Thursday means a trial within the case may start as early as April.
