TGI Fridays shuts down 4 Las Vegas places

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — TGI Fridays closed its places at 4 Las Vegas casinos on Wednesday, in accordance with an announcement launched in the present day.

TGI Fridays operated eating places at The Orleans, Sam’s City, Aliante and Gold Coast.

A spokesperson for Boyd Gaming, which owns the 4 Las Vegas motels, confirmed that the eating places completely closed on Wednesday evening.

“We are already working on exciting new concepts for these spaces, and look forward to sharing more information on these concepts in the future,” the spokesperson mentioned on Friday.

Early final 12 months, 36 “underperforming” places throughout the U.S. had been closed with a view to “focus on streamlining operations.” TGI Fridays had 270 places at the beginning of 2024. The chain peaked in 2008 with 601 eating places.

Then in late October, about 50 extra places closed as the corporate ready to file chapter. That got here on Nov. 2 as the corporate filed for Chapter 11 chapter safety.
