39 bighorns moved from Valley of Fire area to build herd in Northern Nevada

Nevada Department of Wildlife officials and volunteers captured 39 desert bighorn sheep around Valley of Fire State Park and moved them to help build a herd in Northern Nevada. The operation took place over two days, June 28-29, taking the sheep to an area in the Tobin Range near Battle Mountain, about 415 miles northwest of Las Vegas.
