Man useless after crashing into stolen bus on Las Vegas freeway

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — A person was killed after crashing right into a stolen bus on a Las Vegas freeway, Nevada State Police mentioned Thursday.

On Sunday, Jan. 19, at round 1:30 a.m., Nevada State Police Freeway Patrol responded to a crash on the I-11 northbound to northbound 215 flyover ramp.

Preliminary investigation confirmed a passenger bus was “disabled” and parked on the flyover ramp within the left journey lane. A grey 2008 Honda was driving on the flyover ramp, “failed to use due care” and hit the again of the bus.

The Honda rotated and hit a concrete barrier wall whereas the bus was pushed ahead.

Nevada State Police mentioned the driving force of the bus was arrested for being in possession of a stolen car in addition to suspicion of DUI. NSP didn’t identify the bus driver.

Medical personnel pronounced the driving force of the Honda, recognized as Edy Octavio Hernadez-Roldan, 48, useless on the scene.

That is the sixth deadly crash for Nevada State Police Freeway Patrol Area One and the sixth fatalities.
