Mesquite police chief fired following inside investigation

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — The Mesquite police chief has been fired following a metropolis investigation, and a search has began for his substitute.

In a press release, Edward Dickie, the Mesquite Metropolis Supervisor, mentioned that Chief MaQuade Chesley was terminated on Tuesday. The town’s inside investigation into Chesley has been a subject of dialogue throughout current metropolis council conferences, with officers fielding questions and considerations surrounding the police chief in current months.

Dickie mentioned town can be looking for a brand new chief and, within the interim, would appoint Mesquite Police Captain Tracy Fails as chief of the division.
