Oscar-winning filmmaker Frederick Wiseman dies, leaving legacy of American establishments

NEW YORK (AP) — Frederick Wiseman, the celebrated director of “Titicut Follies” and dozens of different documentaries whose in-depth, unadorned motion pictures comprised a singular and revelatory historical past of American establishments, died Monday at age 96.
