LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — Don’t be alarmed should you spot a low-flying helicopter over the Las Vegas valley this week.

Beginning Thursday, Nov. 6, the U.S. Division of Vitality and the Nationwide Nuclear Safety Administration will start aerial radiological surveys throughout Las Vegas and the Strip, forward of the F1 Las Vegas Grand Prix, in keeping with the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Division.

The helicopter will fly at low altitudes as a part of a routine security measure used throughout main occasions, together with New 12 months’s Eve, to assemble baseline readings and guarantee there aren’t any public security dangers.

Officers thank the general public as preparations proceed.
