LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — Officers will break floor on a brand new police substation within the northwest Las Vegas valley on Wednesday, the start of a $27.2 million undertaking.
The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Division substation can be at 9735 Hualapai Means, close to the nook of Hualapai and Grand Teton Drive.
The Wednesday, Oct. 29, ceremony will embody officers from town of Las Vegas, Metro police and Clark County. It’s scheduled to start at 11 a.m.
Along with the substation, the location will embody a brand new 2-acre park with three picnic pavilions, a skate park, a strolling path and a playground. The park, anticipated to be completed by early 2027, is partially funded by a $1 million donation from Inexperienced Valley Grocery.
The fast-growing northwest valley, which incorporates the communities of Windfall, Skye Canyon and Sunstone, will profit from the safety offered by the 13,300-square-foot substation. CORE Building is constructing the undertaking, and the architect is Simpson Coulter Design Studio. The town of Las Vegas is managing the undertaking.
