15 Las Vegas puppies rescued in Operation Pawsitive Change

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — Town of Las Vegas experiences that its Operation Pawsitive Change initiative to curb yard breeding is yielding outcomes.

Throughout a virtually four-month interval, from July 1 by October 20, 15 puppies have been rescued, one firearm was recovered, and 37 citations issued involving unlawful breeding or unlicensed animal gross sales. In 2024, when Operation Pawsitive Change was launched, it resulted within the rescue of 16 puppies, the issuance of 35 citations, two arrests, and the seizure of 4 firearms.

“Officers utilized undercover investigations across social media platforms to identify suspected unlicensed breeders. Controlled meetings at designated public parks led to citations, animal seizures, and puppy surrenders to Animal Protection Services,” town mentioned in a information launch.
