E-bike rider recognized after lethal crash in Mesquite

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — Nevada State Police have recognized an e-bike rider killed in a crash in Mesquite.

It occurred on Saturday, Oct. 4, shortly earlier than 8 a.m. on the intersection of Oasis Boulevard and Ivy Lee Crest.

James Lindsey Jackson, 67, of Evanston, Wyoming, was recognized because the e-bike rider and was taken to a close-by hospital in important situation after the crash, based on police.

Days after the crash, Jackson was pronounced useless on the hospital.

In the course of the investigation, NSP decided {that a} sedan and the e-bike rider had been touring in separate lanes on Oasis Boulevard in a roundabout at Ivy Lee Crest when the e-bike rider moved into the sedan’s lane. At the moment, the e-bike rider hit the appropriate aspect of the sedan and was ejected from the bike, police mentioned.

To this point, the Nevada State Police southern command area has investigated 48 deadly crashes leading to 49 fatalities.

Mesquite is about 82 miles northeast of Las Vegas, Nevada.
