Lee Canyon sees first snow of the season

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — Lee Canyon noticed its first snow of the season Tuesday, simply days earlier than each day fall operations conclude with “Feel Good Weekend.”

Round 4 p.m., Oct. 14, Lee Canyon noticed 1 to 2 inches of snow, marking the primary snow of the season. Whereas it isn’t the earliest snowfall, it is sooner than traditional. In a single day, it’s anticipated to get 2 to 4 inches.

A winter climate advisory is in impact for Mount Charleston and Crimson Rock till 11 p.m. Tuesday.

The primary snow comes simply days earlier than Lee Canyon will conclude each day fall operations with “Feel Good Weekend” on Oct. 17 via Oct. 19. Through the weekend-long giveback supporting adaptive athletes, for each $25 raise ticket, bike rental, or guided expertise bought, $5 will likely be donated to the Excessive Fives Basis, a nonprofit that helps athletes recovering from life-changing accidents.

The resort can even provide two bonus three-day weekends on Friday, Oct. 24 via Sunday, Oct. 26 and Friday, Oct 31 via Sunday, Nov. 2, with hours from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The Bristlecone Bar and Brewin Burro coffeehouse will likely be open and serving.

Winter operations at Lee Canyon are scheduled to start on Friday, Nov. 21, circumstances allowing.

Season passes for the upcoming season are on sale and Tuesday is the final day for folks to benefit from a four-month cost plan.
