The tour announcement comes simply two months after attorneys for the girl who was hit by a microphone thrown by Cardi B in a Las Vegas nightclub in July 2023 filed a lawsuit in opposition to the performer and the proprietor of the venue.
Video of the incident went viral on TikTok. That clip confirmed the hip-hop performer asking to be sprayed with water moments earlier than she threw her microphone into the viewers, hitting a then-26-year-old lady.
A number of attendees threw drinks towards the stage, together with the sufferer, who “splashed a small portion of her drink” towards the hip-hop artist after Cardi B requested the viewers to splash water on her, making “repeated gestures and statements” for concertgoers to throw water.
The lawsuit then alleges that “in apparent anger and without warning,” Cardi B “suddenly and forcefully” threw her microphone immediately on the sufferer.
The sufferer, who initially filed a police report in opposition to Cardi B, informed officers that the microphone injured her shoulder. No prices had been filed, police later stated.
