Little League World Collection: Summerlin South advances to US title sport

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — Summerlin South got here up huge within the Little League World Collection on Thursday, successful to advance to the U.S. title sport on Saturday.

In a good sport, Summerlin defeated Southeast Area champs Irmo, South Carolina, for the second time this week. The ultimate rating was 5-3. A 3-run residence run within the prime of the sixth inning put Summerlin up by two runs, and Irmo could not come again.

After dropping to Fairfield on Wednesday, the boys had their backs towards the wall — win or go residence within the elimination sport towards Irmo.

Summerlin South represented the Mountain Area. Wednesday’s loss to Fairfield adopted a three-game successful streak as Summerlin South gained towards Bonney Lake (Northwest), Clarendon Hills (Nice Lakes), and Irmo (Southeast).

On Monday, Summerlin South needed to go to additional innings to beat Irmo, successful 1-0.
