Las Vegas lady, struck by 80-year-old alleged hit-and-run driver dies

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — One of many three pedestrians struck by an accused hit-and-run driver has died, police stated.

Randi Weldon, 47, died three days after the Aug. 12 crash on the intersection of S. Pecos Street and E. Tropicana Avenue. She was crossing Pecos with one other lady and a person when all three had been struck by a automobile.

In response to Las Vegas Metropolitan police, the three had been strolling in a marked crosswalk in opposition to the pedestrian sign after they had been hit. The opposite two, a 50-year-old lady and a 38-year-old man suffered accidents.

The driving force, Rafi Nersessian, 80, left the scene after the crash and was later arrested at his house, police stated.

Court docket information present he’s going through three felony hit-and-run fees. He’s at the moment out of the Clark County Detention Heart on a $50,000 bond with orders to not drive.
