What's Cool At College? – A who's who of Clark County leaders speak about college security

LAS VEGAS ( KLAS ) – Leaders from throughout Clark County are on the identical web page about college security.

Like college district superintendent Jhone Ebert:

“It’s up to all of us to ensure our kids feel safe getting to and from school.”

And North Las Vegas Mayor Pamela Goynes Brown:

“U-turns are illegal in school zones.”

Boulder Metropolis Mayor Joe Hardy:

“Double parking and blocking crosswalks are prohibited.”

Even Mequite Mayor Jesse Whipple:

“Always obey the posted speed limit and pay close attention to flashing school zone lights.”

Clark County Sheriff Kevin McMahill:

“STOP everytime you see a faculty bus with flashing crimson lights or its cease arm prolonged.

Las Vegas Mayor Shelley Berkley:

“We understand that school zones can be sometimes frustrating.”

Clark County Commissioner Tick Segerblom:

“If you drive through school zones, please leave 10 minutes earlier to give yourself extra time.”

And Henderson Mayor Michele Romero:

“When dropping off or picking up students, please be patient and respectful. Thank you.”
