FBI fires former Las Vegas workplace head: stories

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — The FBI has fired the previous head of the Las Vegas discipline workplace weeks after division leaders reassigned him to a brand new publish, in response to stories.

Spencer Evans left the Las Vegas workplace in July, the 8 Information Now Investigators reported that month, including that the division had reassigned him to a management job in Alabama.

The New York Instances and Reuters reported this week that the division has since fired Spencer and different workers.

In June, the Instances reported Evans was prone to be reassigned in what they known as a wave of “retaliation” from the Trump administration.

Following President Donald Trump’s inauguration in January, management on the U.S. Division of Justice requested senior FBI management, together with Evans, to resign or be fired, CBS Information reported.

The competition entails Spencer’s function in human sources earlier than he got here to Las Vegas and his overseeing of COVID-19 vaccine exemptions, sources stated.
