Bullhead Metropolis man drowns in Colorado River not removed from Laughlin casinos

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — A 51-year-old man died Thursday after going underwater within the Colorado River.

Thomas Michael McCluney of Bullhead Metropolis was pulled from the river on the Arizona facet, throughout from a close-by row of casinos in Laughlin. Bullhead Metropolis police responded at about 5:30 p.m. Thursday to the seaside space at Moser Avenue and Sixth Avenue.

Police mentioned McCluney was making an attempt to drift on a raft with a good friend, and the drowning seems to be unintended.

He was not carrying a life jacket, police mentioned.

Lifesaving efforts did not revive McCluney and he was declared useless at Western Arizona Regional Medical Heart, police mentioned.

Bullhead Metropolis is about 100 miles south of Las Vegas.
