LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — Police and Clark County Animal Management officers are investigating a report of a lifeless canine present in a crate east of the downtown space.

“It’s possible the dog was killed and dumped here, or it could actually be a non-criminal case,” mentioned Lt. Monique Bulmer with the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Division. “The decomposition was such that we believe the dog did not die at the scene.”

Bulmer mentioned it is necessary for investigators to speak with the one who left the canine close to the dumpster to seek out out the circumstances of the canine’s dying. Proof was collected on the scene.

“We have processed the kennel and swabbed for DNA and fingerprints. Officers are doing an extensive canvass for video,” she mentioned.
