LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — People throughout the nation gathered to have fun July 4th. Within the valley, hundreds poured into Summerlin for Southern Nevada’s largest Independence Day parade.
The free, annual Summerlin Council Patriotic Parade marked its thirty first 12 months with floats, reside performances, and appearances by the Golden Knights and the Raiders. About 500 volunteers assisted with parade operations.
“They’ve been out here since 2:30 this morning blowing up those floats, getting everything prepared,” Matt Walker of Howard Hughes Company, the occasion’s sponsor, stated.

This 12 months’s parade featured greater than 20 inflatable balloons, together with the return of two crowd favorites — a 50-foot dinosaur and a 30-foot shark. Moreover, there have been a wide range of floats, reminiscent of Depraved and Moana-themed ones, that had been new additions this 12 months.
The parade was hosted by 8 Information Now’s Sherry Swensk and J.C. Fernandez. Locals had been seen exhibiting off their American spirit carrying purple, white and blue, and honoring our veteran and navy communities.
“For someone like me who’s served the country, it’s just nice to see the freedom that we have, the hard work that all the veterans, like myself, have done to ensure we still have these freedoms today,” Air Power veteran John Orosz stated, highlighting the core which means behind the celebrations.
The parade befell from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. and commenced at Hillpointe Highway and Hills Heart Drive and ended close to the nook of Trailwood Drive and Spring Gate Lane.
