LAS VEGAS (KLAS) – There’s anger and frustration from those that frequent a well-liked southwest Las Vegas valley park as Clark County officers search to dismantle a skate park.
The skate park is situated at Desert Breeze Park, which is close to Durango Drive and Spring Mountain Highway.
“I just feel like to take away something like that, especially after people put so much hard work into it, is just foul, and it’s vile,” Jovani Destiny stated. “I enjoy this more than parks twice the size. You feel me?”

On a summer season morning or late night, Desert Breeze Park is full of skaters. However Monday afternoon, with the solar peaking and triple-digit temperatures, only some skaters have been grinding away on the recent asphalt.
If it wasn’t for the skate park, Destiny stated he would not skate.
“Not everybody is fortunate,” Destiny stated. “Sometimes people are in areas like they don’t have a car. They don’t have a bus. This might be the closest park to them.”
