LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — Goodwill of Southern Nevada opened its third profession heart Thursday, obtainable for individuals ages 16 to 25.
The profession heart is geared toward serving to make use of the valley’s youth.
“Anything from medical assistance to stagehands, welders, truck drivers, or there are kids that are just getting started,” Brian Stewart with Goodwill of Southern Nevada stated. “We have a career coach from Goodwill that can guide them through their options and help them explore what the opportunities are.”
Profession coaches can be found by walk-in or appointment to assist information younger individuals with any degree of expertise.
Junior Achievement of Southern Nevada CEO Michelle Jackson stated that with the state’s unemployment charge as the best within the nation, profession facilities like this one are essential.
“It’s very important because we don’t want our students to become part of those increasing unemployment numbers. We want our students to be able to thrive in their futures,” she stated.
The profession heart is open from Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. to five p.m.
