Hearth burns half-acre in Sundown park

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — Firefighters responded to a fireplace at Sundown Park, which scorched roughly half an acre.

Clark County Hearth Division responded to the hearth round 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday on the park, which is positioned close to South Jap Avenue and Sundown Street.

The comb hearth broke out in dense vegetation positioned between the pond and the fields on the middle of the park. The hearth burned roughly half an acre, with an extra quarter-acre spot hearth found about 100 yards west of the unique hearth begin.
