UMC unveils largest renovation in almost 100 years

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — After two years of building, UMC held a ribbon-cutting ceremony Friday to unveil updates that started in April 2023.

A few of the enhancements to their 26-acre campus embrace new exteriors, landscaping, and improved entry for pedestrians.

“From our humble beginnings back in 1931 when we started out with one doctor, one nurse, to becoming the highest level of care in the state of Nevada,” UMC’s Chief Government Officer, Mason Van Houweling, stated. “It’s just an exciting day for UMC.”

“This part of the valley is very important, with the medical district investment by the city, and the school of medicine UNLV and UMC’s partnership, to be able to grow and bring care to Las Vegas that no one else has,” He continued.

Neonatologist Dr. Francis Banfro attended the grand reveal. He advised 8 Information Now he was amazed by the updates.

“We saw the beginnings. We’ve been dreaming what this revitalization was going to look like,” Dr. Banfro, who stated the transfer will profit each medical doctors and sufferers, stated.
