LAS VEGAS (KLAS) – The Metropolis of Henderson introduced a brand new appearing police chief on Thursday.
Captain Branchini will function appearing chief for the Henderson Police Division till the brand new police chief is known as this summer season, based on Henderson Metropolis Supervisor Stephanie Garcia-Vause.
The announcement comes after the firing of the division’s former police chief, Hollie Chadwick.
After Chadwick’s departure, Itzhak Henn, 50, was given the appearing chief place in March, nonetheless, Henn introduced his retirement in April after 26 years of service.
“I am pleased to announce Captain Branchini will serve as Acting Chief until the new Chief is in place. Selecting a Captain ensures the recruitment process for the Chief remains fair and equitable, given that the Deputy Chiefs are eligible to apply. Branchini has 26 years on the Department, and we appreciate him stepping up until a new Chief is selected,” Garcia-Vause mentioned on Thursday in a letter addressed to the police division.
