LAS VEGAS (KLAS) – Healthcare professionals rallied exterior Dawn Hospital on Monday, asking for improved working situations amid ongoing contract negotiations.
Healthcare staff who spoke with 8 Information Now mentioned the hospital’s refusal to satisfy their fundamental wants is threatening employees retention and compromising affected person care throughout the area. In addition they informed 8 Information Now they wish to see some accountability from the dad or mum company, the Hospital Company of America (HCA).

Service Workers Worldwide Union (SEIU) staff acknowledged that HCA Healthcare who owns Dawn Hospital made $5.8 billion in income final 12 months, up almost 10% from 2023.
“I don’t know where that money is going, but it’s not going back to the patients or to the workers. We want better healthcare for our community, and I want HCA to step it up,” Medical Social Employee Christina Hooper informed 8 Information Now.

The native SEIU is the most important healthcare and public service union in Nevada, representing almost 20,000 staff.
