LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — A motorcyclist was killed in a crash Tuesday afternoon that led to the closure of a significant Las Vegas interstate.
Nevada State Police (NSP) responded to the crash round 12:30 p.m. on the northbound I-11 at Railroad Cross off-ramp.
Police stated the crash concerned a semi-tractor and a bike. Medical personnel pronounced the motorcyclist, recognized as a person, useless on the scene.
All northbound lanes of I-11 are at present closed at Railroad Cross, together with the I-11 off-ramp. Northbound visitors is being diverted at Exit 15A (Railroad Cross on-ramp) onto the east frontage highway, Dawson Avenue. From there, automobiles can proceed to Wagon Wheel to re-enter northbound I-11.
