LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — It is powwow season, which suggests the 4th annual UNLV Powwow for the Planet is going on in Las Vegas

Nicollet Palmer, a member of the Nez Perce Tribe, shared that his beloved dish has deep roots in Native American historical past. Fry bread, usually constructed from easy elements like flour, salt, and lard, originated when Native communities have been forcibly relocated and needed to make do with government-issued rations.
