Man dies a number of days after west Las Vegas valley home fireplace

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — An older man died a number of days after sustaining accidents in a west Las Vegas valley home fireplace, Las Vegas Fireplace and Rescue stated Tuesday.

On Friday, Dec. 6 at round 10:30 p.m., Las Vegas Fireplace and Rescue responded to a single-story residential fireplace within the 6300 block of Shawnee Avenue close to South Torey Pines and Alta drives.

Fireplace items arrived inside three minutes of being assigned, LVFR stated. Crews have been advised on scene that one individual, a person who was roughly 70 years previous, and two cats have been within the residence.

Crews entered the residence and have been in a position to rescue the person. Crews then started an offensive technique to comprise and extinguish the hearth, and it was cleared by 11 p.m.

Medical personnel took the person to a neighborhood hospital in vital situation after he endured burns on a number of areas of his physique, in accordance with LVFR. On Monday, Dec. 9, the person succumbed to his accidents, and hospital workers pronounced him lifeless.

The American Purple Cross arrived to assist help 4 adults.

The reason for the primary is undetermined and below investigation. LVFR stated the estimated injury of the hearth to the house is $50,000.
