2 strike groups from Las Vegas valley hearth departments deployed to assist battle wildfires in Los Angeles space

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — Over 40 personnel from Las Vegas valley hearth departments had been deployed to the Los Angeles space to assist battle the wildfires which have burned 1000’s of acres and destroyed over 1,000 buildings.

The 2 strike groups from Clark County that had been deployed had been assigned to separate wildfires.

The primary, a 24-person strike workforce deployed on Wednesday, Jan. 8, was assigned to the Pacific Palisades hearth. Their work consists of placing out spot fires in native neighborhoods. Round 2 a.m. Friday, they fought a two-story home hearth with sources from the LA County Hearth Division.

The workforce included 5 engines, two battalion chiefs, one mechanic, and one logistics workforce member.

As of Friday night time, the Palisades hearth is over 20,000 acres and 6% contained, in accordance the Clark County’s newest report. There are over 3,000 firefighters engaged on the fireplace.

The second strike workforce consisted of 21 individuals and left the Las Vegas valley on Thursday, Jan. 9. The workforce was assigned to the Easton Hearth close to Pasadena. Friday morning the workforce was assigned to Division Zulu with an Arizona Process Power with the target of extinguishing spot fires within the neighborhood the place they’re working.

The hearth has burned 14,000 acres and is 0% contained as of Friday night time, in line with Clark County. The workforce consisted of our engines, one water tender, two battalion chiefs, one mechanic, and one logistics workforce member. There are 1,500 personnel on this hearth as of Friday night time.

Each groups are working 24-hour shifts beginning at 7 a.m. briefings the place they obtain their orders for the day.
