2 California residents in custody after US marshals hint suspects to northwest Arizona

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — Two Fontana, California, residents surrendered on Monday after authorities tracked them to northwest Arizona in a murder investigation, in line with the Mohave County Sheriff’s Workplace (MCSO).

The person and lady had been noticed driving a stolen car close to Dolan Springs, Arizona, and adopted into Golden Valley, southeast of Las Vegas alongside U.S. 93.

Jonathan Raymon Mota, 42, and Karina Rivera-Valles, 34, of Fontana, CA, had been taken into custody with out incident, in line with an MCSO information launch. Mota was booked on a felony warrant out of California for murder, and Rivera-Valles was booked on accent to murder.

Mota and Rivera-Valles had been wished in reference to a June 6 murder in Fontana. Marshals contacted Arizona authorities for help in apprehending the pair.

U.S. Marshals, deputies from the Mohave County Sheriff’s Workplace, a Bullhead Metropolis SWAT workforce and Arizona state police labored collectively to detain the suspects. A helicopter from the Arizona Division of Public Security additionally participated.

Throughout the investigation, it was believed that the 2 suspects had fled to the far north space of Golden Valley off Cottonwood Highway and U.S. 93, about 80 miles southeast of Las Vegas.
